An introduction to French accents for younger children . Possibly useful for year 3 children. Focuses on the names of the 5 accents, which letters they are found on and how to write them. There are examples of some common words which have accents. Also included is a grid to fill to practise writing a selection of letters with a range of accents. Follow on worksheets gives sentences with missing accents for the children to find. There is an exercise to replace 17 missing accents with simple vocabulary. Revision worksheet to revise the expressions - 'Qu'est-ce que tu as dans ton sac' OR 'Qu'est-ce qu'il y a dans ton sac?' To make it a game I gave my children 5 mins to draw and name as many objects or animals as they could. They were to name nouns in the plural form as well as in the singular from. When the time was up, they worked in pairs, asking each other what they had or what there was in their bag. They replied with either 'Dans mon sac j'ia...' or 'Dans mon sac il y a .'.
